In the highest part of Noto's region, where the limestone plateau is carved by spectacular canyons, our beloved Lagotto Romagnoli dogs await. We’ll join their eclectic owner on a thrilling hunt for the prized Hyblaean truffle.
Don't expect traditional table service. Instead, we’ll chase our four-legged friends through the woods and dig alongside them to unearth “bianchetto” and “scorzone” truffles. Their intense aroma will be the ultimate reward for your morning efforts.
After stocking up on such goodness, we’ll indulge in freshly unearthed truffles. But first, we’ll refresh with a cocktail crafted from wild mint and thyme liqueurs, produced by two young entrepreneurs who turned their childhood memories into a successful business. As you delve into the secrets of their liqueurs, the tantalizing scent from the grill will draw you in, where local delights like bread, eggs, pork lard, and more will be enhanced by a shower of fresh truffle. Finally, to complete the experience, you’ll savor a delightful dessert of sheep's milk ricotta with truffle, accompanied by a selection of “amari” (digestive liqueurs).
