Two families. Two fruits. One shared story... A love for Mount Etna and its Green Gold: Pistachios and Olive Oil.
On the northern side of Mount Etna, pistachio harvesting is a century-old traditional cultivation. In the Bronte area, you will saunter across lush pistachio groves, which produce fruits every other year. During this private guided tour you will visit a farm to learn how they process this protein-packed product and to taste all the pistachio-based delicacies prepared for you following old family recipes.
Later on, you will find again the same passion and dedication a few kilometres away, in Randazzo, where another family will welcome you to their property to let you uncover the secrets of their olive oil. The blends “Nocellara Etnea”, “Brandofino” and “Tonda Iblea” bring balance and an aromatic flavour to their oil.
Finally, as families usually do, we will enjoy lunch together and chat about the unique products this amazing volcano has to offer.
