On this half-day private tour, we will explore two of the most beautiful villages in North East Sicily: Castelmola and Taormina.
Our journey begins in the medieval hamlet of Castelmola, recently included in the list of the 100 most beautiful Italian hamlets. This charming village has ancient origins, and its historic center still preserves the atmosphere of the past, with narrow alleys and traditional houses clustered around the Castle.
Next, we will visit the enchanting town of Taormina, where traces of a glorious past are hidden among its picturesque streets. Dominating the landscape is the magnificent Greek-Roman Theater, renowned for the dramatic opening in its structure that frames a breathtaking view of Mount Etna. Alongside this iconic monument, Taormina is home to many other historical treasures, reflecting a rich and complex heritage that spans from the Greek period to the Medieval age.
