Enrica

I'm an art historian specialized in the research of unconventional artistic phenomena. Thanks to my special interest in “Outsider Art”, I found out that behind every artistic expression, even the oddest one, there is always an interesting story to tell. I studied in Sicily and have also lived, studied, and worked in Spain and UK. Since I got inspired and intrigued by my passion for the history, art, climate, and food of my motherland, I decided to get a tour guide licence so to be able to share and discover, through the curious travelers’ eyes, the beauty of my island.

Excellent Tour, Personalize and Perfect!
I would highly recommend Uncovered Sicily, and specifically Enrica. She really took the time to make sure this was a great experience for my husband and I and catered to our requests. We wanted to get a feel for the food culture/markets, learn a bit of history, and see some of the neighborhoods along the way. She did an incredible job and we would book time with her again if the opportunity arose.

Essential Insights for Monreale and Agrigento
Enrica met us at our B&B in Palermo and helped arrange for the taxi ride to and from Monreale. Her genuine enthusiasm and delight was contagious, and she helped us navigate the overwhelming volume of breathtaking mosaics surrounding us as we entered the Cathedral, and then wandered through the Cloister. Uncovered Sicily obviously works with top-quality guides who are educated in the fields and sites in which they are guiding.

Enrica gave the best tour of Palermo
Our travel agency booked this wonderful company for us. Enrica, our guide, took us on a 4+ hour walking tour of Palermo. We learned a lot and saw a ton (I know that's vague, but we saw all of the musts). We loved that Enrica lived in the area and she was such a great storyteller. She speaks many languages too! Enrica is friendly and fun. We just loved her! Her entire tour was incredibly engaging--I don't think that I've ever enjoyed a guide as much. We had a mix of history, culture, modern day explanations, and food. This was the last day of our trip, and what a great way to end. We learned so much. We went to the restaurant that she recommended for dinner and loved it. Thank you!

Fascinating Sicily
The highlights for us were the Norman Arab architecture in Palermo and Monreale and the Sicilian baroque. There were many interesting street markets a great bargain, charming small towns with narrow winding streets, crazy traffic, great food, breath taking country side doted with thousands of wild flowers, Mt Etna, rolling hills, vineyards, orchards and then the sea. Alessandro, Enrica, Laura, Andrea, and Maria were wonderful, very knowledgeable, reliable and fun. A wonderful trip thanks to them and a beautiful country.
