Rachele

Looking around me with curious eyes, an open mind and a joyful heart. This is the way for me to approach my life and, of course, my profession. I’m an art historian and I have united what I have studied with a constant research into less well known aspects of my city, region and island history in general. I took a Master degree in Museum Studies because I believe that our society should be enriched by the shared knowledge of our immense cultural heritage, and museums can really make the difference. Another field that I’m really passionate about is the relationship between art and society. Every monument, painting and sculpture is the result of the context where it was created.

Sicily is the “Island of One Thousand Stories” and my aim is to give those stories a voice and to offer you an unforgettable experience.

Reviews for Rachele

Monreale with Rachele
We also had a good experience with Rachele. She spoke English well. She was well-prepared with an I-pad to illustrate certain details and used a laser pointer to point out features in the mosaics on the ceiling. Being Protestant she understood the importance of the mosaics at Monreale from a slightly different perspective.

Guided tour in Palermo
Rachele was fantastic. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She has the rare ability to impart her knowledge of such a vast subject both succinctly and at an accessible level. We couldn’t recommend her more highly. She has inspired us to come back to Sicily. Her passion for the subject is contagious.
